You create a small private app on your own store and Contengi connects through it with standard Shopify OAuth. The app asks for one permission, so the agent can reach your blog and nothing else.

No. The app you create asks for write_content only, which covers blog content. Orders, customers, products and payments sit behind other scopes that Contengi never requests.
It keeps the connection private to your store and under your control. You can see exactly what it is allowed to do, and revoke it in Shopify at any time.
Tick Use legacy install flow in the app version, release it again and reconnect. Without that setting Shopify uses a different install flow that rejects outside redirect URLs.
Yes. Open any article from the CMS, edit it with the agent or refresh it with the SEO agent, and it publishes back over the same article at the same URL.
