Page 2 is dead. For LLMs, it never existed.
For years, the SEO conversation centred on climbing the ladder. Position 5 to position 3. Position 3 to position 1. FAQ
Common questions
What is LLM tracking?
LLM tracking means sending a fixed set of buyer questions to models like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity on a schedule, then recording whether your brand is mentioned, where it appears in the answer, how it is described, and which sources get cited.
What is answer engine optimisation?
Answer engine optimisation, or AEO, is improving the chance that AI assistants mention and cite your brand. It overlaps heavily with good SEO: clear pages that answer specific questions, consistent facts about your brand across the web, and mentions on sites the models trust.
Why is my brand not mentioned by ChatGPT?
Usually the model has too little consistent information connecting your brand to the question being asked. Thin category pages, few third-party mentions, and inconsistent descriptions across your own site all make it likelier to recommend a competitor.
How much does LLM tracking cost?
Dedicated tracking tools often run to hundreds of dollars a month, because every check is a paid model call multiplied by prompts, models, and frequency. A one-off audit is a cheaper way to get a baseline before you commit to ongoing tracking.
